Survey finds positive relationships between landlords and tenants

The majority of landlords and tenants enjoy a good relationship, a
new poll has revealed.
Figures from the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) show that 84 per
cent of renters get on well with their landlord, with a quarter of
respondents saying the relationship is 'fantastic'.
According to the DPS, it is "no surprise" that most buy to let
investors and their tenants have a strong relationship as 250
landlords a day are signing up to the organisation's deposit
protection service.
Kevin Firth from the DPS added that while these figures are very
positive, it is still prudent to do some research before becoming
involved in the sector.
"It's vital to ensure that you undertake good research to pick the
right tenant or landlord in the first place - make sure you know
who you're dealing with," he advised.
Buy to let landlords may be encouraged to discover that the latest
inflation report from the Bank of England has suggested that
inflation is likely to fall sharply in the coming months.
This could cause the Bank's monetary policy committee to cut the
interest rate further still and in turn lead to a greater
availability of cheap mortgages.
