Planning permission given for new eco home in south-east

Estate agents in the south-east of England may soon have a new
property on their books.
Planning permission has been granted for the creation of a
so-called Earth Dwelling to be constructed at Bow Brickhill after a
team from Milton Keynes successfully secured
planning permission on behalf of the landowner.
The home, which is being designed to be self-sufficient, is located
in a designated area of attractive landscape, near the mature
woodland of the Bedford Estate.
With the help of solar energy and biomass heating, the building
will be one of the greenest in the country.
Jeremy Pyatt, who helped secure the permission, commented: "We were
very pleased to be involved in such a fascinating project and
delighted that the inspector was so supportive of the
scheme."
At present, the government is trialling a variety of schemes across
the country in a bid to encourage homeowners to turn their
residences into more environmentally-friendly places.
